First Timer's Checklist
Have you been dreaming of starting your own business, or simply expanding your current business? If you have a product you would like to sell, and you want lots of customers without the high overhead cost of most retail spaces, then come and be part of the Santa Clarita Swap Meet experience.
Is this your first time selling at the Santa Clarita Swap Meet?
Here are some things to help your day go smoothly.
- Arrive early! Reserved vendors enter the property between 5:30 am and 7:00 am. Our drive-up line (unreserved vendors) enters the market between 7:00 am and 9:00 am.
- Bring $40.00 cash to secure a space. No checks or credit cards are accepted on Sunday.
- If you reserved a space in the office, remember to bring your rental ticket. It is required for check-in.
- If you reserved a space over the phone, park in the pick-up line and retrieve your ticket from our pick-up booth. We will need to verify your name with your driver’s license, and you must sign for your ticket.
- All vendors need to bring a valid California Drivers License to enter the property.
- If you are under 21, bring someone that has a valid California Drivers License with you and is over the age of 21.
- Expect to spend the day. Once you drive in, you will not be permitted to drive out until 2:00 p.m.
- If you are bringing helpers, have them enter with you in your vehicle to avoid a shopper admittance fee.
- Make sure your vehicle fits inside the boundary of your space.
- Bring lots of small bills to make change for your customers.
- Some customers will want bags to carry their new treasures.
- A chair is a good idea if you want to rest between transactions.
- If the sun is shining, bring an umbrella or canopy for shade.
- Don’t forget the water. It gets hot in Santa Clarita.
- If you don’t sell it, you need to take it home with you.
- Please leave your space as you found it, broom clean.
